If your name is Larry Pernicano, you had a head start learning the basics of good cooking in the kitchen with mom (Belle) and dad (George). Larry's Pepper Chicken is tender, juicy and has an outstanding flavor. The Fettucini de Baffi is smooth, rich and delicious."

In the case of Pernicano's, the answer is simple. Mama would hate it--the food's too good. No Italian mother wants to hear her son rave about someone else's cooking. A phenomenal marinara sauce... sweet, mild and loaded with chunks of fresh tomatoes. The house special, Pepper Chicken, which is a half chicken seasoned and baked in its own sauce... was superb--so tender and juicy that the meat slid off the bone. Tortellini Quattro Formaggi, which is tortellini filled with chicken and proscuitto, topped with a rich sauce consisting of four cheeses was ecstasy on a plate." |
